Chapter 4: Him

~Chapter 4:  Him~

>Your PoV<

After a long session of painting, I was exhausted, moving from my studio to my couch, which was at first was temporary, that is, until I heard the same soothing voice from before.

I rested my head on the armrest, listening to the beauty woven in the song that he sang. I still had no clue who was singing, I would always forget to ask Jaehwan and Hongbin whenever I came over to have some drinks or have a meal together, yet just being able to hear whoever this voice belonged to sing was enough for me for the moment.

The pleasant melody was soothing to no end, and I found myself drifting off.

I woke up to knocks on my door, and despite wanting to ignore them and continue sleeping, I got up, cracking my neck and back that had once again suffered the pain of sleeping on the couch.

When I opened the door, I was surprised to see Jaehwan there, looking casual yet as fashionable as always, “Hey (Y/N), how are you doing?”

“I’m doing fine, how about you?” I asked, beckoning him to come inside.

“Oh, no, I am in a rush right now, but I am doing great,” he said, smiling endearingly, “I am actually on my way to rehearse for a musical I am going to be in, since you took care of me the other day, I wanted to invite you as a way to thank you.”

“I would be happy to attend, thank you,” I said, “But you don’t have to worry about giving me something in return, just seeing you get better was enough.”

His smiled curved more as he looked down, rubbing the back of his neck, “Thank you, I’ll give you the ticket tomorrow,” he said, looking up at me again, “We’ll have a celebration afterwards at this diner I like, we’ll have fun!”

I nodded, smiling, “With you around, anyone can have a good time Jaehwannie, you are the life of the party,” I said, enjoying his shy reaction, “You brighten everyone’s day with your smile- including mine.”

His face turned pink as he looked away again, “Thank you…” he said, biting his lip, yet smiling cutely.

I couldn’t help but admire him for a few seconds, but eventually I snapped out of it before it became awkward, “Do you want coffee or something?” I asked, “I don’t really have any food prepared yet since I just woke up.”

His eyes widened, “Did I wake you up?”

“Yeah, but it’s alright,” I said, almost chuckling, “So, coffee?”

He sighed, smiling, “Yeah, I would love some.”

The night of Jaehwan’s musical was on a friday, meaning I had to step up the formal wear, yet it felt like nothing more than just a bit of freshening up, just putting on a tie and messing with my hair until it looked passable.

I had managed to become closer to Jaehwan over the past few days, and I realized that not only was he a good guy, but he was a good guy with a cute side that also had it’s random moments, some that seemed so precious yet so common.

It wasn’t long before I was on my way to the theatre where his musical was going to take place, mainly because I decided to go early, wanting to be avid in my supporting of him.

Since I was VIP, I got permission to get to my seat early, which was one of the seats on the side of the concert hall, which only sat two other people.

I was on my phone until the lights began to dim, making me realize that the hall had been full, and that there were now two people in the vacant seats, no one who I recognized, meaning they were probably here for other cast members.

From the minute the musical began, I was in awe.

The compositions were beautiful, and Jaehwan, who played the prince, appeared in one of the last acts, yet his voice dominated the entire hall, and despite the other actors having beautiful voices, Jaehwan’s voice was ultimately the most enchanting- and I could not be mistaken when it came to the voice that had made sleeping on the couch plausible- his voice was the one I heard my first night here, and knowing it was him suddenly made it more attractive.

Every time Jaehwan came on stage, I couldn’t help but follow him with my gaze, seeming more and more handsome as I continued to look at him- so much so that I forgot most of the plot afterwards, and right as I was enjoying Jaehwan’s voice, the curtains closed.

I sat there, dumbfounded, staying in my seat as the audience began to leave, only regaining awareness when I felt a vibration in my pocket, signalling to me that I had a phone call.

I quickly extracted my phone from my pocket, sighing when I saw it was Jaehwan, unable to hold back a smile, “Hello?”

“Hey (Y/N)? My driver is coming in a bit, can you meet me backstage?”

“I brought my car so I can take us, tell him sorry for the inconvenience,” I said, finally getting up, watching janitors cleaning the general floors, heading toward my car.

“Okay,” he mumbled, “Let me call him, meet you at the back?”

I smiled, half jogging to my car so I wouldn’t keep him waiting, “See you there.”

Going as fast as I could without speeding, I drove up to the back, where there were quite a few people just standing there, and when I realized they were some of his fans, I parked my car and got out, unaware if they were like the fans that do not know boundaries.

Jaehwan started heading out without a second thought, and his fans just stood by, in awe, not going closer than a foot from him, which amazed me to no end.

“What’s up?” he asked, and I snapped out of it, nodding.

“No, I was just worried- I didn’t know your fans were so kind,” I said, stepping back so I could open the door for him.

He smiled, “Starlights are amazing aren’t they,” he said, almost giddy.

After he got in, I went to the driver’s seat, “Do you know where I should head from here to get to the diner?”

He nodded, telling me directions as we drove, accidentally taking the wrong turn when I became too aware of how close he got to me.

We got there relatively soon, and since he had a reservation, we got a special private room, and soon enough we ordered our food and began eating, ordering some drinks to go along with our food.

Since I was driving, I didn’t drink as much as I usually did at the apartment, but it seemed that Jaehwan really let himself go- drinking for the both of us- more drunk than usual.

“Oh, Jaehwannie,” I said, and he hummed, looking up from his glass of soju, “Your voice is really beautiful, I’ve heard it a few times already through the walls of the apartment, but seeing you sing in front of me was so amazing,” I said, and he smiled almost childishly, crawling over to me, before sitting beside me, laying his head on my shoulder.

Staring at him, I couldn’t help but think he looked adorable, stroking his hair soon after the thought emerged.

He hummed, nuzzling into me, much more clingy than what he was usually like at the apartment.

“Hey- why didn’t you invite Hongbin?” I asked, the thought suddenly emerging.

He whined, looking at me, then unexpectedly crawling onto my lap, making my eyes widen, my hands frozen in the air.

“Ottokaji~?” He whined, wrapping his arms lazily around my shoulders, pouting cutely, and I couldn’t seem to calm my heart, that seemed like it was going to burst any second now.

His cute whining continued, and my rapidly beating heart kept pushing a thought in my head, ‘Do I like Jaehwan?’

Looking at him up and down, I unintentionally licked my lips, yet I caught myself.

Shit.

I do.

Now aware that I had romantic feelings for Jaehwan, I suddenly started paying more attention to our position, unable to stop a sudden blood rush downwards.

I did my best to keep him away from my crotch, praying he would not notice.

In an attempt to nuzzle into my neck, I grabbed his hips, shocking me, but trying to budge him a bit backwards.

When he looked down, I knew my attempts were now useless, I would have to hope his drunkenness would wipe away this memory.

He smiles, still looking down, “Little (Y/N) seems a bit excited,” he said biting his lip gently, “Though little (Y/N) doesn’t seem so little…”

His eyes got sultry in a matter of seconds, making me lift him by the hips, trying to get him off before he did something he’d regret.

This ended up being the death of me.

Whining louder, he tried sitting back down, yet somewhere during his attempt, he began grinding on me, making me realize he was starting to get hard as well.

“I wanna turn around,” he said quietly, and that was the last straw.

I pushed him away, trying to regain my own composure as I saw him pout, now laying on the mat of the private room we were in.

Eventually I go pay the bill, carrying him on my back, somehow managing open the passenger’s door and getting him seated and buckled in.

I drove slowly to make sure that I would be able to safely drive home, not the smartest decision, but I didn’t want anyone to seen Jaehwan this drunk.

Eventually I parked and got us up the elevator, realizing that Hongbin would probably be asleep by now.

I patted Jaehwan down, letting him lean down on the wall next to his door.

“(Y/N)~ Wait until we’re inside first,” he hummed, despite it being to sultry to be considered that.

I was able to find the keys soon after, luckily, so I opened the door, getting him back on my back and walking through the door, doing my best to kick off my shoes, then carrying him to his room, luckily not tripping over anything in the darkness.

I placed him on his bed, watching him get comfortable immediately, making me sigh as I took off his shoes, then going to unbutton his shirt.

I am only 4 buttons down when I feel a tug on my tie, surprising me when I realize my lips were now on his, and as much as I wanted to close my eyes and embrace him, I held back, pulling away after 3 seconds.

“Stay- I want to cuddle,” he whined, tugging at my shirt.

“I have to make a lesson plan for my class, I can’t,” I lied, making him pout, yet he eventually gave in.

He gave my tie another tug, this time, just before his lips, “Goodbye handsome,” he whispered, leaning slightly upward to kiss me.

He let go, and I retracted, licking my lips, touching them as if to remember how Jaehwan’s felt.

I was about to say something, but he was already fast asleep, making me sigh, tucking him in before doing my best to quietly leave, yet it took more effort not to turn around and ravage Jaehwan.
