I followed him, forgetting to care about the entrance exams we were to take the next day.
“Hongbin,” I said, watching as he turned around, “What are we doing? Where are we going?” I asked, yet he just smiled.
“You’ll see.”
I just followed him.
“Where are we?”
’Like a scene in a movie’
“Beautiful isn’t it,” he laughed, leaning against the thin railing of the roof of a random building he had taken us to.
“To wish us luck for your entrance exam and my debut, you like it?”
'Your words are like broken subtitles’
I hummed, going to the edge with him.
“Let’s come back here once we are both successful… we’ll be friends then right?”
'You have your gun out, pointed, like a villain’
I hummed.
'Love is cold and we’re like a night desert’
“We’ll have our girlfriends, our life set out for us…”
'Please don’t do this, I say as I cry’
I hummed.
“What’s wrong?”
'I’m pathetically begging’
“I love you,” I say, looking out to the bright lights.
“What.”
'But in the end, you go bang, bang bang’
“I don’t like guys.”
'You shoot at the back of my head’
“But let’s stay friends, yeah, nothing wrong with it.”
'Then you give me a band-aid as if you want me to piss of’
“Though I didn’t know you were a faggot all along, it’s surprising.”

'I believe you then I don’t’
“Why are you suddenly like this?” I say, yet he thought it as well.
'Feels like you’re changing inside of me thousands of times’
“What do you mean? We’re still friends, I’m still here for you.”

I walk back to the stairway.

I paused.

I laughed.

“Hongbin, why are you calling me?” I step out of my friend’s bachelor party.
'It would be a lie if I said I wasn’t shaken’

“Sure.”

We met at a diner the next day, it was quiet, and I could still feel the throb for yesterday’s drunkenness.
“Ah, (Y/N)-” he said, with a scowl.
“Now I remember why I stopped trying,” he sighed, it hurt, “You can leave.”
'You told me to leave as you looked at your phone
I just sat there and blinked
As if I was being chased by this sudden goodbye, I ran out’
“I don’t know why I even came,” I mumbled, leaving the restaurant.
'Nights I barely fell asleep because of anxious feelings’
“They are just going to return…”

Like a dog, they bite me and laugh at me’
I got home quickly, remembering the events that happened that day.

I stood outside, looking up at where I lived.
